The Polyprint brand has become synonymous with quality and sustainability in textile printing for decades. A comprehensive range of natural based thickeners meet the highest demands in textile printing applications and set new standards both technically and ecologically. Polyprint products are used both in classic application areas such as rotary and flat screen printing, as well as for digital printing.

By manufacturing highly specialised Polyprint thickeners at various sites, Polygal AG has secured a commanding competitive position on the global markets. The sodium alginate thickener for reactive printing, for example, is supplied from a production site in China and the chemically modified guar gum from the Polygal plant in Pakistan. In this way, Polygal can ensure that sufficient high-quality raw materials are available in the vicinity of its production sites and key target markets in Asia can be supplied quickly and directly. The Polygal site in Switzerland supplies customers in Europe and across the world with special products.

To comply with the constantly increasing requirements for quality and sustainability, Polyprint products are regularly tested and verified by the independent testing institutions of well-known eco-labels:

Printing on cotton and viscose with reactive dyes

Polygal AG offers a wide selection of thickeners that are ideal for reactive printing. The thickeners are used in conventional and digital reactive printing on cellulose fibres such as cotton or viscose – primarily for fashion and home wear items – are sodium alginates. Pure sodium alginate products guarantee very good printing results, and they also have outstanding washability properties. As natural thickeners, sodium alginates are readily biodegradable. Alginate thickeners are also offered as blended solutions with synthetic components or with modified polysaccharides.

Printing on polyamide, Lycra, silk and wool with acid- & metal complex dyes

Polygal AG offers outstandig solutions for printing on polyamide, Lycra and natural fibres such as silk and wool for conventional as well as for digital printing.  A typical area of application for acid and metal complex dyes is the printing of swimwear (polyamide/Lycra). For this application Polygal offers its high-quality depolymerised guar gum products, which are produced in the Pakistan plant in Karachi.

 

Furthermore, the Polygal AG range also includes special products that achieve optimal print results on difficult fibres such as silk or wool. Printing on silk requires the use of highly specialised products. Printing on polyester with disperse dyes

Printing on polyester with disperse dyes generally involves the use of chemically modified, tamarind-based thickeners. Polyester fabrics place especially high demands on printing processes and the printing auxiliaries. Polygal AG offers the following products to guarantee maximum uniformity and colour yield as well as excellent hand feel properties.
