Products for making sanitary paper
Thanks to the multi-faceted production methods, we can change the ionogenic characteristics of our products. For manufacturing tissue papers, we highly recommend non-ionogenic or anionic guar gum powders. In the latter, the anionic charge is introduced into the molecule through the carboxymethylation process. The following products are mainly used as wet-end additives for increasing the strength of the paper (dry strength) and retention:- Polygal CT-277 (non-ionic)
- Polygal CT-167 (lightly anionic)
(especially in combination with cat. wet strength additives)
- Polygal CT-262 (heavily anionic)
(especially in combination with cat. wet strength additives)
During the addition to the wet-end (pulp mass), the continuous dosing of a galactomannan solution made using a wet extraction equipment is highly recommended. This addition may be done in turbulent spots between the pulp blending chest and the pulp flow box.
Polygal products may also be added into the pulper in the dry form. While doing this however, it should be kept in mind that the gum molecules may get damaged due to the grinding operation and its effect may be compromised.
