Entry in the commercial Register in Constance on 23 March.
Beginning of prospecting activities in Germany by Walter Greminger, Günther Junghans, Roger Mentha and Anton Rapp.
Foundation of Polygal AG with head office in Bussnang (30 June).
1957
Office and laboratory premises moved to the 'Villa Gimpert' in Märstetten. Production started at the nearby Märstetten lime and fertiliser plant. Head office of the company transferred to Märstetten.
1964
Land purchased in Märstetten to build our own production plant, the work of which started in autumn.
1967
Previous purchasing links with Spain become a permanent connection as an agreement is signed with Productos Giró SA in Barcelona for the joint construction of a factory to produce carob bean gum.
1968
The new plant in San Carlos de la Rapita goes into full production.
1971
Following a one year construction work, the Märstetten extension is completed.
1973
In Märstetten, a new production line for chemical modification is built.
1974
In Spain, plant extended to include a new line for processing Guar.
1979
Further expansion in Märstetten; second production line installed.
1987
Extension work in Spain:
· warehouse
· loading facility
· extension of Guar production facilities
1994
Restoration of the administration site with an additional new building in Märstetten.
1995
Polygal Habib Gums NV with manufacturing plant in Karachi joins the Polygal group.
1996/97
Construction of a 2-stage waste-water treatment plant in Spain.
2001
Construction work for the extension in Märstetten:
· warehouse and offices premises at the factory
· new pavilion for customer visits, meetings and company events
2004
Polygal AG, Märstetten has been certified according to ISO 9001:20002005
Foundation of Polygal Priwell Industries Co., Ltd., Guangzhou, alginate products and trade for the Chinese market and export.
2006
Inauguration of production and administration building of Polygal Priwell Industries Co., Ltd.
